It's just a container

Without the soul, the human body is nothing more than an empty shell. It’s like a house after the owner moves out, or a clay jar after its contents have been poured out. In Scripture, God makes it clear that the body is valuable only as long as life dwells in it, because life is in the breath of God (Genesis 2:7). Once that breath returns to Him, the body is simply dust returning to dust (Ecclesiastes 12:7).
