Who Bewitched You?

Paul’s words to the Galatians ring like thunder across the centuries. O foolish Galatians who has bewitched you that you should not obey the truth before whose eyes Jesus Christ was clearly portrayed among you as crucified. This was not the gentle tone of a patient teacher. This was the urgent cry of a father who sees his children being dragged into deception. Paul was astonished that the same people who began their walk in the Spirit were now being drawn back into bondage by forces they did not fully recognize. He used a word that is both sharp and shocking. Bewitched.
